‘Tis the season for the smell of fresh cut grass and pigskin friends – I cant believe that it’s Fantasy Draft time and before you know, the start of the season will be here! I can’t believe the summer went by so quickly and we are on the brink of yet another football season! It’s time to get your X’s and O’s in line and dust off the fashion play-book – it’s game-day! This season I’m proud to announce, I’m an NFL Fan Style blogger participating in the NFL Fan Style Fantasy Football League. This season I’ll be sharing some of my game-day fashion inspiration, tailgate recipes and tips on your fantasy football team. It’s you and me friends every week until February J Stayed tuned each week for a fun post related to game-day fashion, eats and a lot of Chicago pride. Go Bears!Today’s look is going to be a season favorite – yes, I know the season hasn’t started, but it’s already my favorite! The start of the season is my favorite for so many reasons – 1) every team is in first place and the novelty of game-day is in the air and 2), warm weather games mean you can wear dresses! In Chicago, football is associated with face slapping winds and snow, so when the weather is nice, barefoot blue jeans it is. This maxi dress from the NFLshop.com had me at stretch cotton. My #1 game-day requirement is cotton that stretches – I need room for a helmet full of nachos and a brat. Duh!
The only thing better than game-day fashion is game-day eats! With Labor Day around the corner, it’s time to up your grilling game and get those Gridiron Eats in check. I love a thoughtful tailgate with a solid menu and some décor to match. Check out my Tailgate Pinterest Board that has LOADS of inspiration for your tailgate this season.
