Monday Night Football

Monday Night Football is the most watched prime time show ever….even more than Real Housewives of Beverly Hills {god I love those ladies}. A few weeks ago in Chicago, Mike Ditka (Da Coach) got his number retired, Jerry’s Cowboys are were town and it was below freezing in Chicago. I wish I was lying, or even exaggerating, but at kick-off it was a whopping 10 degrees. Where was I when the first whistle blew? For one, I was wrapped in a down North Face coat that was designed for excursions in the tundra (no lie, it’s called the Arctic Parka), all while being bitch slapped by a ludicrous negative temperature wind chill. The concept of football domes should be mandatory. That ain’t right!

So the looming question was, what do I wear? This question is usually answered before, how will I stay warm? Priorities. Sure, for a moment like this, the key to success is watching the game in a sleeping bag with layers of thermals. Bah humbug! Who needs practical when you can be fashionable 🙂

Sequins are the only things I’m dreaming about these days. I would put them on everything and put them in everything. They are my holiday go to, and they never fail me. What better than to add a little sparkle to my Monday Night Football experience right? About a week ago I realized that I have a sequin arsenal that would rival that of Kesha. The only thing missing were these pants from ASOS. We had a connection. It felt right. I need these pants to be on my team.

I stand by my theory, and Philip Bloch’s, that sport fashion and high-end fashion can co-habitat. For example, you can dress down a full sequin pant with your favorite team shirt, sweatshirt, etc. Or, you can dress your team shirt or sweatshirt “up” with a sequin pant. Glass half-empty, glass half-full.

New this year, the NFL passed a rule that only allows women to carry a small clear plastic bag. Jonny Bags designed a NFL compliant bag that isn’t just plastic and pvc piping; it’s a bag with style! Pick a bag with handles of your preference and a bag cover to match your look! Now you can’t wear the bag cover in to the stadium, but you can certainly pack it and place it over your bag once you are in the door. As ladies we need privacy and Jonny is the privacy police. Sure NFL, I get where you are coming from, but do you really want tampons floating in bags? I didn’t think so. 🙂

Going to a game soon? Check out their collection here and tailor the bag to your style!

What’s your game day go to?
