Green with Envy
Well hellllllllo Friday! It’s so good to see you! The sun is shinning, it’s not too cold and we are headed to Orlando for the weekend to partake in a little Harry Potter action. (Nerds). Yes, I know, but you’ll get FOMO once I’m sitting in the sunshine drinking a Butter Beer 🙂
I LOVE today’s look for so many reasons! 1) Army green is my jam and I’ll eat it on toast any day, 2) the location is one of my favorite places in the city – can you guess? and 3) and any excuse to bust out the orange stole is win win for me! Earlier this week Kimmy K was the inspiration for my look – today it’s Kanye. I drooled over both his Yeezy collections and dream to have them all to myself one day. This Lain Zip Bomber Jacket was the perfect start to building my Kanye inspired look.[ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end][ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half][ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]I really love a good monochromatic look – it’s almost as if monochromatic looks have taken over pattern mixing looks. They essentially have the same effect, but in a less youthful manner. On this particular Friday, it felt like a good army monochromatic look with a pinch (ok, maybe more than a pinch) of orange 🙂 Sometimes I can’t help myself – orange and army are like peanut butter and chocolate, I can never say no.
This orange stole was the perfect find on Etsy – yes, Etsy. I was actually hunting for a royal blue one to pair with this jacket and stumbled on this – I didn’t find a blue one, but this was sure as shit a close second! A colored stole is the fastest way to add a pop of color or new texture to a coat that needs a little extra something. This stole also goes well with my favorite wool trench (here). This dress allows for the perfect amount of sexy to this casual chic look. The tie-up front is on trend with what we are seeing now and still leaves something to the immagination.
Have a beautiful weekend friends! Be sure to follow along on instagram for updates on our trip![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]

The orange does liven things up. I am more of a monochrome person. I need to be more adventurous I suppose.
