In the Trenches….in London

Things I did not have once on the ground in London – hair straightener and tights. 1) The sweltering summer of Chicago has continued on well into the Fall only to leave me lost when packing for temperatures below 80 degrees, hence forgetting to pack tights. 2) My Americano voltage straightener would blow the wall off any hotel that I plugged it in to. It was either – go around looking like Frankensteins wife for a week or, buy a UK voltage straightener. Best, purchase, ever.
Things I did have on the ground in London – a trench coat. Keeping my palate somewhat muted on this Friday in London, I chose to wear my favorite Fall color….oxblood. Tweed, word only used in the Fall season, originated in the UK so I felt compelled to pack it, and wear it during my stay in London. Trying to hard? Nah….
Now I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t add a pop of color to this look. These half suede pumps by BCBG Generation from Marshalls do just the trick! Proof that fashion meets comfort – I wore these shoes for 10 hours without an ounce of pain. The pain came at 10 hours and 1 minute.
Happy Wednesday!
