Christmas is over and the holiday hangover is in full swing. Ugh. Going back to work, no more holiday cheer and gross weather for the next five months. Christmas came and went, and every year I make a vow to myself that I’ll try to make more time to sit back and relax during the holiday season, BUT that never happens. For the next week I am decompressing in Los Angeles in the sunshine and ignoring all my emails. [ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]We started our Christmas travels in Tuscon at the Loews Ventana Resort – it was a beautiful place. Lots of family time, catching up, sleeping and spa-ing. I hit December hard with work, blogging, shopping and holiday parties that the minute I stopped moving I crashed. Anyone else have that happen to them? I would get sleepy at 7pm each night and was in bed by 10p or earlier – that is my idea of a vacation!

For this trip I packed a TON of neutrals and black of course. Ha, I couldn’t find any red in my closet to pack for the holidays – like none. And of course I went shopping before the trip and just couldn’t find anything. It’s criminal to not wear read on Christmas right? The light in Tuscon was so pretty – everything was really mellow and the town had this neutral glow. Perfect for all sorts of blogging.

This grey oversized sweater from Margaret O’leary is the perfect chic casual piece for those brisk winter days in the west. I’ve paired it with a leather pleated skirt and some tights, but today I’ve styled it with these cropped frayed jeans from J.Crew (on MAJOR sale today). We have done a whole lot of nothing so I need something that I can lay casually in and then pick-up and go if needed. AND how can I forget these cap toe pumps – they are an affordable buy compared to the Chanel version and pair with just about anything!!
