Engagement Photoshoot

Wellllll – 1) Happy Friday and 2) Surprise! We are engaged! So true story, we have actually been engaged since the end of the November. We intentionally kept it a secret so that we had the chance to tell all of our family personally and really have the time to enjoy this moment with each other without the help of Facebook. Today I’m sharing some photos from our engagement photoshoot from back over Christmas by the one and only, Tyler Curtis. Tyler is a dear friend of ours so it made the moment extra special have him photograph together.

BUT, we went through it and figured there was no harm in having photos since we have NONE together ha!

Brian proposed back in the November when we were in Scotland. We ADORE Scotland – we visited Edinburgh a few years back and fell in love with the landscape, people and food (don’t worry, not haggis). With the Thanksgiving break we had a few days to break away for a quick trip and a repeat trip to Scotland was on the top of our mind. He actually proposed in the middle of this shoot! We decided to go on a hike in-between photos and thats where he popped the question. The Inverlochy Castle will forever be in our hearts![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]Wedding plans are in FULLLLL swing as we are planning on a Summer 2017 wedding! We started planning the minute he proposed – which sounds crazy, but we barely found a venue that was available. Everything is slowly starting to fall in place and we couldn’t be more excited! The dress was the next thing! I can’t wait to share my dress with you all – it’s so beautiful and a written description just wouldn’t do it justice!
The most important piece for us during this whole process is to stay true to who we are and not get lost in the planning. Its so easy to become a crazy person in all the planning and lose yourself. The important thing is to keep a healthy balance and your parents away from the guest list 🙂

Over the next few months, I think I will dedicate a few posts to my wedding planning and recommendations. What do you all think? Stay tuned for posts on the process and my recommendations to future brides![ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]Earlier I said we weren’t planning on taking engagement photos remember. Well this dress I bought two days before and it arrived on the day I needed to wear it 🙂 I was SOOOO happy with the dress and feel in love with the movement. It’s a perfect dress for anything wedding related and it’s on MAJOR sale!
