DIY with Marc Jacobs

Naturally I was doing research for the blog and I stumbled across these amazing Marc Jacobs polka dot denim pants. While they were all sorts of delectable, I couldn’t allow myself to spend the $200 for them. I wasn’t going to let this one go easily, and since DIY has become somewhat of a sixth sense for me, I acquired all the necessary materials to make my own. I bought the paint and sponge brush online, and found the denim at Target for $16.99 (in-store). So that the color of the dots blended well with the light denim, I mixed three parts paint and one part water. The purpose of the ruler? To assure that the dots are evenly distributed on the legs….trying, but not trying too hard. If you need a template, use the Marc Jacob version to create the faux version!
Once done, I paired the pant with a bright highlighter yellow top from Ann Taylor and my new obsession from Luxury Rebel, metallic pumps! Separately these pieces rock, together they make sweet sweet fashion love. This outfit represents my sole effort and campaign to scare away the winter winds and bring on the heat.
Peace and love my Sportsanistas!
PS Makeover on the site coming soooooooooooooon!
