DIY: Talk Derby To Me
It’s amazing what you can do with some structured ribbon, fake flowers, straw hats and a hot glue gun. Last Derby season, I wore a store bought hat…lame. This Derby season, I DIY’d the heck out of my hat.
Objective: to create a one mile radius around us, with just our hats. After saying excuse me 1,000 times, I threw in the towel and let the hat at as a machete while walking through crowds to get to the bathroom. FIY – I was not at the Derby. I spent the afternoon with some friends at American Junkie 🙂 PS The hat served its purpose in more ways than one….I made it to the bathroom every time.
As if my hat wasn’t large enough, I wore the brightest colored dress in my closet. With the Derby, go big or go home. While I didn’t bet on any of the ponies, I think Jenna and I still walked away winners!
Also, things we have learned….I need a spray tan like whoa…
Happy Monday and hope y’all have recovered from the Derby!
