And just like that, it’s FRIDAY!! One week from today I will be in Palm Springs soaking in the 90 degree heat and dancing the night away at one of my favorite music festivals…Coachella! Coachella actually starts today, but our group decided to go Weekend 2 this year. It’s typically easier to get tickets for Weekend 2, it’s less crowded and not as much craziness with all the celebs. But, the biggest benefit of going Weekend 2 this year is that Kanye will be hosting his Sunday Service during Weekend 2 only! I mean, Weekend 2 for the win! In the spirit of all things festival, today I am sharing my some Coachella Fashion Inspiration, and a peek at one of my looks for the festival next week!

Festival fashion is all about embracing your inner desert goddess with not a care in the world – it’s style with no limits, no boundaries and a way to express your care free attitude! For me, it’s the one time of year that I step out of my fashion comfort zone try something different, because you know what? It doesn’t matter! This year I really wanted to find some pieces that were more versatile so that I can wear them post festival in other ways!

COACHELLA FASHION INSPIRATION

For the look featured in this post I started with this graphic tee by Anine Bing – I LOVE Anine Bing and her brand. It’s effortless chic in such a cool girl way! Satin skirts are trending this season, I’ve really been on the hunt for a good spring sating skirt. This Topshop satin skirt, that is under $50, is the perfect piece to compliment my graphic tee.

Accessories are everything for your festival look and since I’m not a jewelry person, so I decided to enhance the look some other ways. You can NEVER go wrong with have a straw hat in your arsenal and this one from H&M is $15! Take it to the pool or take it to Coachella! Now, I won’t be wear these strapy sandals on the polo grounds in Palm Springs, I’ll likely trade them out for white booties. BUT, these strapy sandals are one of my favorite trends this spring and I can’t wait to style them 100 ways until the fall!

I found this Fringe Bag on Amazon and also featured it in my Favorite Amazon Bags Under $50 post. This is remake of the Cult Gaia version, but costs a fraction of the price! It’s smaller than you think, but hopefully the images in this post give you a sense of the size. To top it all off I styled the look with my favorite Mirrored Sunglasses by Quay.

WHAT TO WEAR TO A FESTIVAL

The look featured in this post will likely be my Friday Coachella look. For Saturday, I’ll be styling this GORGEOUS organza dress that Elisa from E for Elisa convinced me to buy! I’ll layer the dress some nude pieces so that the organza sheer is prevalent, and some high waisted denim shorts. My favorite western style boots will also be making an appearance this trip.

I’m also teetering on the fence about buying this off-the-shoulder top to style with my favorite jeans from Everlane and boots. And for Kanye’s Sunday Service, I’ll likely recreate this look from Lollapalooza two years ago.

Below I’ve also included some of my favorite looks from festivals past.
