Championship Party tips with The RoomPlace

Super Bowl Party Ideas and Menu ItemsWell friends, this is it! We are in the final countdown of the last football game day week of the year and the last Sunday for tailgating! Where did the time go? Feels like it was just yesterday that I was writing my first game day fashion post in August for the kick-off! Time flies!Just admit it, we all deserve the Monday following the big game off – it’s practically a national holiday right? It’s equivalent to going to work the day after Thanksgiving! You are full and tired! Today I’m sharing some ideas on how to put your best Championship party foot forward this season with Championship Party tips with The RoomPlace.

MAXIMIZE YOUR SPACE

Ok, I’m sure you are thinking that rearranging your furniture sounds crazy, but not really! Whenever we host at our 900 sq. ft. Chicago condo, I have to get creative to accommodate our group of friends. I found this amazing dining table from The RoomPlace and placed in the corner of our home to be the drink and food buffet for the day.

When we host, people generally gravitate towards the kitchen and stay there all night – this was my strategy to get people more in the room and eating the food J. This dining table matched my home perfectly – the best part was the ability to add or remove the leafs in the table. Big buffet, small buffet or any buffet you want!

We know that seating is always an issue when hosting game day too – someone always ends up sitting on the floor to watch the game! I found this STUNNING chair at The RoomPlace – it’s add some extra seating to my house and the arms are wide enough to serve as a table! Jackpot! Thanks to The RoomPlace I was able to find an affordable way to get my home game day ready!Blogger Mary Krosnjar sharing DIY Ideas for your NFL party[ezcol_1half]Championship Party tips with The RoomPlace and Foam finger straws[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]Blogger Mary Krosnjar wearing Chicago Bears Junk Food tee and Blank NYC Denim[/ezcol_1half_end]

DIY YOUR DAY

Adding personal touches to your game day party is the fun part of hosting right? Everything else is just manual labor until it’s over. I love adding little thoughtful touches to our home to tie in to the game day theme! Here are two easy ways to dress up your Championship party with items you may already have at home!

I had some chalkboard paper in my craft cupboard; you can also use craft paper or any paper for that matter! I cut the chalkboard paper in to a few sections and laid them down on the table to act as my “table linin” – the table itself didn’t need any dressing, but it’s game day so why not! After I laid down the paper I took a white chalkboard pen and drew a few football plays, found on Google, for some game day flare! It’s super easy to do and it will show you off your football knowledge.

For my drinking station, I dressed the mason jars up with some white tape to mimic to the laces on a football. This is a no hassle, and easy to remove, DIY project that really helps tie the game day theme together in a easy way!

Super Bowl Menu ideas and baked potato recipe HEALTHY JUNK FOOD

It’s important to have a balance between healthy and junk food present at your Super Bowl party – sure it’s pretty much a cheat day for all of us, but there is only so much cheese and dips one can consume. I found this recipe on Pinterest about a month ago and have made it three times already! Why? 1) It’s a super healthy alternative to a baked potato dish, 2) there is little mess and cleanup post cooking and 3) who doesn’t love buffalo chicken anything on Championship Sunday!

These buffalo chicken baked sweet potatoes are super easy to make and will surely impress your guests – they can be a snack or even an entrée, just know that they will go quick!
