Casual Valentines Day Look
Happy Monday friends! Today I am SLLLLOOOOW moving – the day after the Super Bowl should be treated just like the day after Thanksgiving! It’s essentially the same thing – family, friends, food, drink, football right? I have a food hangover and it’s not going anywhere soon! What did you think of the half-time show? I mean Gaga – she is amazing! With the Super Bowl now behind us, this week I’m going to be sharing a Casual Valentines Day Look for any occasion. Listen, it’s not for everyone, but a little pink never hurt anyone.

[/ezcol_1half_end]I have to say the Chicago winter has been pretty favorable – I’ve boycotting wearing tights more and more 🙂 You can only pair black tights with so many things right? This time of year I’m desperate for some much needed sunshine and color!! Sometimes in Chicago the only way to wear color is through outerwear, so when I see something that speaks to me, I buy it! This coat from Lavish Alice was one of the greatest finds I’ve found in a while! The color is fabulous and its only $50! Ok secret, it is sold out, but I’ve linked some other coats below that are super similar!

[/ezcol_1half_end]For today’s look I went all out and pretty much put on any color, i.e.pink, that was making me feel happy in the moment. This dreamy pastel palate has me all excited for Spring – I’m so ready for some sunshine, warmer temps and sandals! I’m pretty sure those are signs that I need a vacation? Thoughts?
I layered the coat over this tissue tee from the Who What Wear collection at Target (which you are not familiar with it, you need to be!). Color generally isn my thing, but I was feeling festive and who can resist a good monochromatic look – not me! For a pop of more color, I paired the look with my favorite bag from Furla – I had no idea how often I’d be wearing this bag after I made the purchase. It pairs well with so many looks across so many seasons!
